Governance and independence
Stated here rather than left to be discovered, because a buyer's procurement team is entitled to it before they ask.
Marz Technologies LLC is wholly owned by a single member. That member is employed in the field-sales industry the company builds for. This is disclosed for two reasons: it is why the product understands the work, and it is a conflict that has to be managed rather than described as an advantage.
How it is managed
- A written conflict-of-interest disclosure has been filed with that employer's ethics office, and a written determination has been requested. The company does not treat silence as permission.
- No employee of any prospective customer holds any ownership interest in Marz Technologies LLC, and none has received or been promised compensation or anything of value from it.
- Where a conflict would arise from a sale, the member separates from the conflicting employment before the first payment is received. The company will not hold both positions at once, and this is written into the disclosure rather than offered verbally.
- The member takes no part in evaluating or selecting KnockAtlas on any prospective customer's behalf. A vendor should not sit on both sides of its own evaluation.
- The product has been developed on personal time and personal equipment, using no employer resources, consistent with California Labor Code section 2870.
Demonstration environments contain synthetic data only — invented businesses and generated activity. No customer, employer, or third-party records have ever been loaded into them, and their import functions are disabled.
